I hope that I am not taking Mary's glory- but she recieved a letter
today from
George Rathcamp, our Program Manager. He stated that we
could probably
get the training cache for the Air National Guard drill
September 18-21 in Savannah.
What a great opportunity for us!!!!!!!!
WE MUST MAKE THE MOST OF THIS AND HAVE AS LARGE A NUMBER OF OUR TEAM
PARTICIPATE AS POSSIBLE!!
In other news, I still need a few folks for the
May 5th Relay for Life.
I have an EMT and a support staff signed up. Need an MD
and RN at
least.
Next Meeting May 16 at 7pm.

Good news - our online training should be up and running within the
next 6 - 8 weeks. It is being delayed right now due to a delay in
CME/CEU approval. This is good news for those of us that need CME/CEU. I
believe they will be available for all fields. More on this as soon as
it becomes available.

Mary is still working on getting a decision on what type of online training that we will be following. But until then we have found a link to some CEU's for those that are in need.
click on the link above and you will find many different courses available. You must take a test after reading through the material in which I believe they will mail you a certificate.

can you make a note on the website the the NDMS 2006 conference will be
in Reno, Nevade April 22 - 26, 2006. More info to follow. I don't
believe it is posted yet on the NSMS website.
Also note on there that the CenterLearn is being changed to another
vendor and we should hear more info at the next TO meeting Dec 6th,
2005. But for now let our members know that they don't have to deal with
online training.

Guess what. I have been really hard at this DMAT thing this week. Here is the training schedule for 2006. I am being overly optimistic as you can see. Asking for salary, cache and all the good stuff. We will have to see what we get. Make it clear when you post this that it is no guarantee that we will get to do these trainings. This is just preliminary planning. The next process is to send in the training requests and that is when we find out what we can do next year.
